This course offers an in-depth review of issues involving behavioral health needs of the American Indian and Alaska Native Populations. It reviews important large scale substance abuse and mental health epidemiological studies conducted on these populations. It further summarizing issues surrounding the use of behavioral services by American Indian and Alaska Native Populations. Lastly, it addresses system-level challenges involved in the delivery of mental health services to these populations.
